“Carbon peak and carbon neutrality” - 3TREES joining hands with leading youth organization to promote green, low-carbon way of life and build a beautiful home.

To answer the call of "Beautiful China - Youth Action" by the Central Committee of the Communist Youth League and facilitate the implementation of “carbon peak and carbon neutrality” and the 14th Five-Year Plan, 3TREES once again partnered with the China Education Support Project (CESP) in hosting the second "Beautiful China - Youth Action" 3TREES College Competition on Creative Environmental Protection Ideas. As a key CESP project, the competition will continue to support and encourage Chinese college students to make the best of their imagination and innovation, promote the concept of low-carbon life by designing creative eco-products, and inspire more people to embrace a low-carbon lifestyle through their green actions.

This year's 3TREES creative competition is based on the theme of "low-carbon life and green future". With a focus on the sustainability vision of the Beijing Winter Olympics and the concept of green Olympics, the competition draws the participation of 100 student teams from 50+ universities and colleges. They will submit creative design proposals for recycled products, design recycling bags on the Olympic theme of "China Moment - Shine Together", carry out carbon reduction campaigns, promote the knowledge of green Winter Olympics and the concept of low-carbon life, and bring green life into ordinary households.

 In addition, 3TREES has prepared green innovation prizes of over 500,000 yuan and honorary titles for the winners of the competition, with the highest prize of 50,000 yuan. The winners will also have the opportunity to participate in 3TREES’s charity tour, and outstanding teams and individuals will be given priority in internship opportunities and employment offers, and invited to workshops, training courses, press conferences and other interactive events.

As a practical training project for college students of the whole country, the 3TREES College Competition on Creative Environmental Protection Ideas has attracted the participation of 136 universities and colleges from 58 cities at home and abroad. The students of Tsinghua University, Tongji University, Zhejiang University, Shanghai Jiaotong University and other Chinese universities submitted their works in groups or as individuals. By the end of 2020, the competition received 246 creative design proposals of eco-products from 114 teams and many fantastic ideas for environmental protection, influencing more than 3.75 million college students nationwide.
